Here is the second part of how to tell time in Spanish.

We say Son las _____ Y __________ when the minute hand in the clock is before the half hour. For example:
Son las 3 y 20. It's 3:20

However, we say Son las _______ MENOS _________ when the minute hand has passed the half hour and is before the hour. For example:
Son las 9 menos 20 means it is 9 minus 20 minutes. In other words, it is 8:40

Test format: As in previous tests, there will be three parts.

1. Listening.

You will read sentences and then you will say if they make sense or not. The sentences have vocabulary we have studied throughout the year.

3. Writing.

You will answer written questions about yourself. You need to understand the question and answer correctly using the correct form of the verb.
You will look at different pictures and describe what people are doing and at what time they are doing them and where they are doing them
You will be given sentences that are missing the verb. You will fill in the blank with the correct form of the verb, depending on who is doing the action. You need to know the YO, EL/ELLA and ELLOS/ELLAS forms

SINGULARS AND PLURALS

How do we make plural nouns in Spanish? A very simple recipe.

Just add the letter S to the noun if it ends in a vowel. 

El carro- Los carros
La maceta- Las macetas

Add ES if it the word ends in a consonant. For example:

El balón- Los balones
La ciudad- Las ciudades.

If the noun ends in Z, change the Z into C, and then add ES:

el lápiz- Los lápices
El antifaz- Los antifaces
